The restaurant holds the “Cuisine Nissarde” label, a quality mark recently recognized by the Ministry of Culture.
Niçoise cuisine is now part of France’s national intangible cultural heritage.
Fait Maison: Real Home Cooking
Certified “Fait Maison” (the official French homemade label), we work exclusively with fresh produce and make everything from scratch, every day.
Welcome to this temple of good food, where socca is the undisputed star! Golden and crispy, enjoy it as an aperitif, a starter or a main course… it’s up to you!
Other traditional Niçoise recipes are also on the menu: pissaladière, pan bagnat, tourte de blettes (Swiss chard pie) and an authentic salade niçoise.
Let yourself be tempted by our creations made with fresh local produce, such as our Pan-Panis: a twist on the burger with soft homemade bread, homemade ratatouille, a round of socca, basil and crispy cured ham.
A wide selection of pizzas and homemade desserts completes our menu.
All our dishes are available to eat in or take away.
The Socca d’Or Spirit
A friendly atmosphere
La Socca d’Or has a beautiful stone-walled dining room and two small covered terraces, heated in winter, where you can soak up the typical atmosphere of rue Bonaparte, now one of Nice’s most popular streets.
The warm, family-friendly atmosphere created by owners Valérie and Frédéric naturally extends to every guest.
What began as a small neighborhood spot keeps growing and has become a favorite of food lovers, with a reputation that now reaches far beyond Nice.

The Pan Bagnat
The pan bagnat is an emblematic culinary specialty of Nice, a true treasure of Mediterranean cuisine. Perfect for a quick meal or a picnic, the pan bagnat is a true celebration of sun and tradition.
La Socca
Socca, a specialty of Nice, embodies the warm spirit of the Mediterranean. This thin flatbread made from chickpea flour, water, olive oil and salt is baked over a wood fire, giving it a crispy texture and unique flavor. Served piping hot with a little pepper, it’s traditionally eaten with your fingers. Simple, delicious and authentic, it captures the soul of Niçoise cuisine.
La Pissaladière
Pissaladière, a typical specialty of Nice, showcases the authentic flavors of the Mediterranean. This savory tart, made with a soft bread dough, is topped with onions slow-cooked in olive oil, anchovy fillets and black olives. Its name comes from “pissalat”, an ancient paste made from anchovies and sardines. Enjoyed hot or cold, as a starter or an aperitif, it embodies the simplicity and character of Niçoise cuisine. A treat for lovers of Mediterranean traditions!
